To provide healthy and sustaining food, personal care products, and other needed household items to the people of Bowdoinham and Bowdoin in a compassionate, respectful manner.

Executive Board

President

Sally joined the board in May of 2016 as Secretary. She transitioned to the role of President/Chair in the Spring of 2019. Sally moved to Bowdoinham in March of 2013 where she lives with her husband Jeremy and two kids, Rose and Fred. Sally’s role with the pantry is mostly administrative and financial operations. Her professional experience is in organizational development and operational finance for small companies. Before that she worked in health and science policy for 11 years.

Assistant President

Carol joined the board in October 2019. She currently serves as Vice President and one of the principal shoppers for the pantry. Carol moved to Bowdoinham in 1987 with her husband, Robert, and their two children, Babette and David. Before retiring, she worked for 25 years as a professional mediator, facilitator and administrative hearings officer.

Treasurer

Linda is a longtime resident of Bowdoinham (since 1980) and has been involved with the Food Pantry beginning in 2014, shortly after it was started. She has been a board member for most of the years since then. She brings professional experience in program management, public policy and interagency collaboration. Currently she is the Treasurer.

Secretary

Jan started volunteering at the Bowdoinham Food Pantry in 2016 and became a board member in 2021. As a retired RN, she has always enjoyed helping others. Currently, Jan is Board Secretary and one of the primary shoppers for the pantry.

Director

 Jennifer is a resident of Bowdoinham where she lives with her two kids, Carter and Charlotte and husband, Austin. Jennifer oversees the daily operations of the Food Pantry including volunteer training, scheduling, acquiring food and keeps things running smoothly. Her prior experience includes volunteer coordination, and teaching at the elementary and secondary levels.

Board Member

Beth joined the food pantry as a volunteer in 2020. She returned to Bowdoinham in 2011 where she lives with her husband Andy and children Minna and Corban . She brings environmental and event planning experience to the board and loves supporting the community where she grew up.

Board Member

Jill joined the food pantry in 2021 soon after moving to Bowdoinham. Her professional experience includes project management and supporting children and families in the field of early intervention and early childhood education and is a retiree of the University of Maine System. Jill spends her time at the pantry providing distribution services and helping with special events.

Board Member

Jen and her family have lived in Bowdoinham since 1990. Her background is in inventory management, merchandising, public policy and fundraising having worked at LLBean, Maine Public, Bates College and Mercy Hospital and serving on the Board of Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program. She currently works at Now You’re Cooking in Bath. Jen started volunteering at the pantry in 2022 on Wednesdays to help process fresh produce for the clients and joined the Board in 2023.

Board Member

Jane joined the Food Pantry volunteers in 2018 and accepted a seat on the Board in 2021. She has participated in several Pantry activities over the years, including the backpack program, distribution, and food pickups. At present, she works prep most Wednesdays and cooks food for the fans.

Board Member

Caitlin began volunteering with the backpack program in 2018 and joined the board in December of 2019. She shares a home with her husband, Jarod, and three children, Avery, Brooke, and Cameron. Through her work in elementary education, Caitlin saw the importance of getting good food into little bellies. She is a delivery driver for the pantry’s Backpack Program and enjoys baking treats for Breaking Bread.

Board Member

Erin lives in Bowdoin and started volunteering in the fall of 2021 after seeing so many folks struggle during Covid. She sometimes helps with distribution and loves helping clients with their groceries.  She enjoys cooking and baking for events. Erin has also taken over the management of the website making sure the information is up to date.
